Artist's Description

It was a rainy morning that Christmas day in two thousand and seven. After we had finished breakfast, I grabbed up my camera, a trusty Konika Minolta DiMage A2, and twisted the lens to the full telephoto length. I reached around and clicked the macro setting in place as I slipped out the door into the rain.

I quietly aproached the half barrel planter where a lone gerber daisy had been blooming for several days now, and aimed the camera right into his face. He was dripping with rain drops as I fired off a couple shots with the f stop at 3.5 and the ISO set at 100. I got this shot using a exposure of 1/60th of a second.

Then I returned to the warmth of the house.

Shot in Jacksonville Florida USA on Christmas Day 2007
