This is a traditional dance performed in and around Korean farming villages supposedly to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck for the harvest. This dance involves the use of a variety of gongs and drums. Some of the performers have a headdress that has a long white streamer attached to the top of his hat. There is a short weighted section that the wearer swings around giving momentum to the ribbon which makes a circular motion around the performer. This example is one of an extra long ribbon and the guy does what is similar to a kind of breakdance! Amazing stuff!
