Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is in North Wales, close to Acrefair. Acrefair is actually pronounced Accra-vire (nearest I can get) and not Acre Fair as many English folk call it. I spent ages drawing this. I’d pencilled it in when it suddenly hit me that the drawing is composed mainly of foliage – aaagghh!! Not being one to give up though, I plodded on regardless, but much as I enjoyed it I am looking forward to doing some more in my usual less detailed style.

I used a variety of felt pens and technical pens on A3 thin white card.

I’ve submitted this to two Welsh Groups as they have accepted me because my father was Welsh and I was actually conceived in Wales. If my parents had stayed in Wales another two or three months I would have been born Welsh. I often wish I had been.
