Captured with my Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera in Auto mode, a view of the Scottish mainland taken on the ferry crossing from Ulapool to Stornoway in the Western Isles, Scotland. A stretch of turbulent waters known as The Minch separates the Outer Hebrides (of which the two largest islands, Lewis and Harris, are known as The Western Isles) from the North-West coast of Scotland. Perhaps this is the sight that Bonnie Prince Charlie beheld when he set out by boat to cross the waters with Flora MacDonald, seeking refuge on the beautiful Isle of Skye. Enjoy this fine video of “The Skye Boat Song” sung by The Corries!
