Captured with my Canon PowerShot A3100 IS camera in Auto mode, what I think might be the Vestry, the Sacristry or even a small chapel of Durham Cathedral situated by the River Wear in The Land of the Prince Bishops. I had hoped to come away with a memory card full of shots of the interior of this architectural jewel, but I found to my dismay that photography was not permitted – not even without flash. I have therefore embedded a video of the interior for your enjoyment. The commentator is Jonathan Glancey and the video is the result of readers of “The Guardian” voting it Britain’s Best Building.
