Artist's Description

Once upon a time, long, long ago, there was a nice bowl in the Quiksilver shop in Fountain’s Mall in Jeffreys Bay. This bowl was frequented by many of the town’s skaters.

One day, one of the witches of one of the cardinal directions (I forget which one) came swooping down on her modified kitchen broom, loaded the whole dang thing in her Venter trailer and disappeared. Poof!

This picture was taken when the bowl was still a happy little meeting place. The skater in the bowl is Amand Oosthuizen; the little guy in the background is his youngest brother, Micha.

Picture was converted to vector and then desaturated.
