Artist's Description

prisma cp on arches rough 140lb.

I always find skies wonderous and joyful. This sunset caught my eye so I painted it.
It is one of a series I am working on, on skies. I experimented with this one. I used the roughest and most textured paper I could find. The next in the series will be a slightly smoother paper.

The Lord’s Masterpiece

When but a babe,
fear grasped for sunset to come,
And darkness to fill the earth.
Afraid of being alone and not being strong.
Waiting for the light of the sun to rise.

O Lord we thank thee,
For the beauty of the sunset.
For the colors and glory,
so different from yesterday.
In awe of your masterpiece.

The journey through life,
teaches so much.
Sunsets are rest and peace,
A haven, and a sanctuary.

Watching the flame of the sun,
Slowly changing into grays.
Intertwined in blazing but subdued warmth.
The Lord’s arms spread across in love.
Telling all that you are watching from above.
