Artist's Description

Matrix for Transformation Collagraph Project
Masonite Matrix for Printmaking Collagraph Assignment for Contemporary Print Project University Degree
Glue, Carborundum, Yacht Varnish, Ink, oil Paint

The “Matrix” is the plate where a printmaking work is made and used for printmaking. It can be a woodcut, lino, collagraph, etching, aquatint, drypoint and many more. The matrix is commonly not shown at all and usually shelved somewhere. As a printmaking teacher I like to be able to show the process of making a print.

The print will be what we commonly call “Works On Paper”. I will hopefully post that print in the next few days. For more information on printmaking go to my blog: www.belindanye.com.

Thanks Billy
