Letter To Dad

As a child I didn’t understand
What it was you did each day
How hard you had to work
For very little pay

These thing we took for granted
Like a roof kept over head
And all you had to go through
To keep our family fed

As a father there is no spotlight
And, there is very little fame
But when things aren’t running smoothly
You almost always get the blame

You always seemed so unconcerned
With all we put you through
And no matter what the problem
You knew just what to do

I never stopped to thank you
And for this I’, really sad
I’m very proud to be your child
And I’m honored to call you dad
