Artist's Description

To the west of Arkaroola in the far northern Flinders Ranges, Wild Dog Creek is located running through this inhospitable rugged mountain country of outback South Australia. Settled in nicely amidst large red rock walls is the peaceful oasis of Nooldoonooldoona Waterhole. Several semi permanent deep rock pools in a shady haven offer the perfect escape from the scorching hot afternoon sun in this remote region.

Nooldoonooldoona – An aboriginal term meaning ‘Place of Falling Rocks’
