Coal, the dirtiest producer of energy, puts out about twice the amount of carbon dioxide than oil. It is the largest contributor of CO2 into the atmosphere and accounts for 40% of the world’s total fossil fuel emissions. There is no such thing as “Clean Coal”. The coal industry invested over $40 million dollars in a propaganda blitz to convince the people of this lie. What makes coal even more insidious: Oil and gas reserves are expected to run out in a little over 50 years but coal reserves have been estimated to last another 100 years after that.
