My weekend visitor"

Mary wanted her house to be spotless, so she cleaned in every nook and cranny of her house. She made sure the house was perfectly cleaned.
Margie will be here in hour, so I’ll get down our favorite tea cups and we’ll have tea cake and tea, like we use too.
Margie and I have been friends since high school, and we did a lot of things together,
we even had a double wedding.
Now, the kids are all grown with children of their own and Margie and I lost both our husband around about the same time., so we have only each other to soften the blows of life.
Margie came to visit, it was such a blessing and a sweet treat for the both of us. we tried to catch up on old news and reminisce about the good old days, and how wonderful they were.
I went to my old trunk and Pulled out a red velvet book, it was tattered and torn but
it holds all our pictures ,dream, secrets and achieements inside. we looked through the book of memories, sipping our tea and eating our delicious teacakes.
Margie was so excited about our trip down memory lane, that we laugh and cried tears of joy. Being together again after twenty-five years was indeed a precious gift to put in our book of memories.
Margie got into the taxi and we waved good -by to each other and I hope that we would live to see each again , because we both agreed that twenty – five years is to long to wait for a friendly reunion.
