… and at the going down of the sun we will remember them. We should never forget what those who have gone before have done for us and future generations. Its always well worth a wander through the cemetery here at Hill End. The graves gathered their in this humble bush setting tell stories of hardship, sacrifice and longevity. Many died so young … too young, maybe of illness or from a mining accident or simply a broken heart from fortunes of loved ones lost, while others lived such long lives. Regardless they are an important part of our early Australian Gold Rush History and I will be forever grateful.
