St Paul’s Presbyterian Church of Hill End is situated in Tambaroora Street and originally started its life as a Methodist Church. Unlike the brick built Catholic Church, St Paul’s is built of local stone and is a magnificent example of craftmanship from the 1870s. Still in service today, it is beautiful preserved and cared for by local parishoners under the protection of the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
The old gold mining town of Hill End is situated in the hills near Mudgee NSW Australia and is worth a visit with its old mining cottages, beautiful buldings of yesteryear, tree lined streets and gold mining history. A quaint step-back-in-time, you won’t be disappointed.
