Part of the spit at Fingal Bay in NSW Australia. This is a magnificent part of our coastline and well worth a visit. On this particular day it had been raining but was just a nuicance drizzle when I took this shot. There was a lot of fog over the ocean but it created a sense of mystery beyond the sand spit.

For several years this was one of our favourite places outside of WA and with our son being based at Williamtown we seemed to find ourselves here quite frequently. I really like this photo and the atmosphere created by the mist. Great work. Peter
Thanks Peter – it was a strange day and it created a strange light – just an hour later we were almost in full sunshine but we had moved further down to Boat Harbour by then. I’m so pleased you know this beautiful area of our world.
Very beautiful place, Bev…love the foggy mist…effect!
Thanks Dottie – I was disappointed that it was still raining but took a chance anyway and was rewarded with this.
Stunning!!! Bev
Thanks mate!!
Very atmospheric Bev.
Thanks Paul – that’s the word I was looking for the other night to describe this shot “atmospheric” – thanks for the comment.
Mystery’s good! Love your pesepctive on this one ;)
It was a pretty dismal day to start with but I was pleased with the misty effect. Thanks for the comment Sonia.
Nice Bev, looks a bit like that now :)
Thank you Michael for commenting – I took this image about 12 months ago in similar weather to what we are experiencing this week.
