Artist's Description

The old bell on the tower of the old historic St Andrews Anglican Church at Seaham – dedicated 1860 (in 1852 a Grant Fund provided twenty pounds towards the building of a church at Seaham). The church is still in use today and sits in a very picturesq setting near the Seaham Swamp and is next to the Williams River in NSW Australia. The swamp is an important habitat for the cattle egret and many other bird species. The reserve also protects a historic quarry containing scientifically important 90–120 million-year-old sediments from ancient glacial thaw water.
