Artist's Description

One of the corridors at the now deserted and vandalised high security prison hospital for the criminally insane at Morisset. From my research this specialised facility was opened in the 1933 and housed the criminally insane – what stories these now fallen walls could tell. The facility (Ward 21 – “The Crim”) was closed in 1991. Today the vandals have taken over, the total facility is trashed and will fall to the ground soon – maybe that is what society prefers for it to be wiped from our history books. Unfortunately it is history and its a shame it couldn’t have been preserved and given a new use.
