Thank you sincerely to the moderators of the Sydney group for featuring my image “Cool Breeze – Gladesville Hospital”. Thank you to the Red Bubble community for all the wonderful comments on this image too. For those who don’t know, Phil & I travelled to Sydney last weekend to join up with others from the Sydney group at the Gladesville Asylum site and shared a wonderful morning with them wandering in and out of old buildings and along beautiful paths and scenery, capturing this image and anything and everything that took our eye. This led me to then do a lot of research on this historic facility and I feel it has enlightened me to this dark time in Australia’s History. Being a history buff and genealogist I found this most interesting and recommend the site to others interested in this type of photography and history. My big thanks to Philip Johnson and Kazzoom for organising the day.
