after all these months and miles, had the poem wrinkled in my pockets

creating ribbon.. i’d sat through skulls, waiting pictures
long enough for man, and plantlife to calendar

nature’s again curdled cruel with a laugh and flavor of mystery

the drafts.. all nights above us, or we’re precisely where they’re going
as change and classes add up, much like art shows and city buildings

not a slight retrieve of mention, i’m a pet to spotted traveling
someone’s phone number still in collection

and of course.. etched, are the joints
in everyone gathering, a figure of speech

hardly over the long school ago crushes
won’t someone stay for more than meals

is this planet placement state i’m not in
or at least don’t quite illustrate this from

the flesh is still the jewelry
and community is our interior

Artist's Description

i wrote this to the sound of these two number fives that i perhaps unrightfully acquired. the first line came to me somewhere in my mother’s laundry room, i believe i was replenshing the cat’s bowl with some modern day food for the feline.. the rest of this piece feels like it came to me from a cave, i haven’t in a long time been in or more realistically, a lack of understanding our present nature. like a cast away, but from surviving birth. much like all things i’ve witnessed in these reflections, perhaps these angles are meant to be and better off uneven.
