Artist's Description

This is part of the wier above the stepping stones on the river Dove in Derbyshire UK. It can be a very peaty silty river, hence the browness, and its reputed to be the coldest in England due to its many underground feeds form deep limestone rock; but that doesnt stop locals jumping into it on New Years Day come rain, frost or snow.
This was taken towards dusk zoomed at 300 mm for 8 seconds at f29. (I thinks its the only time I ever used f 29:)…and filter was a circular polarizer.
