The Unicorns Horn

There once was a sorceress who loved to collect rare and unique treasure from far and wide. She had a feather from a pegasus wing, gold from a Trolls shoe and an extremely rare Dragon scale. Just to name a few. There was one treasure she did not own though, and she desperately wanted this treasure more than life itself. This treasure which she sought was the sacred horn of a Unicorn. Beautiful to behold and magic untold. One day the sorceress decided to go deep into the forest with hopes of catching this elusive creature with some of her own magic. Once the sorceress was deep in the forest she began to get thirsty. She had heard water rushing from a great waterfall. The sorceress thought, “Hmmm that water is quite refreshing, I think I might get a vessel to take some with me.”As the sorceress was fumbling with her satchel she heard some splashing. As she looked up, she caught a glimpse of what she has sought her whole life. The great unicorn. The sorceress set out quickly and soon started to conjure her powerful magic. Within moments she had the beautiful unicorn in her possesion. The sorceress soon made it home and quickly set to work. She locked the unicorn up so there would be no escape and she started to collect her tools that would be needed to remove the magical horn. The unicorn in the meantime, was secured in the yard behind the sorceress’ castle. The yard was absolutely beautiful. There was nothing but flowers as far as the could see, except, directly in the middle of the vast yard was a lone weeping willow tree with a fence around it. Within that fence was where the beautiful unicorn was bound. The unicorn was prancing and dancing, showing off all of his magnificent beauty. Meanwhile, the sorceress had rounded up all of her tools and began to sharpen them. She started outside still sharpening her various tools and happened to look up and saw the unicorn. She saw how exquisite he looked as he was dancing and prancing. She saw his beautiful face which was full of sorrow. The sorceress stood there in the vast and fragrant yard for some time watching the wild beast. Then all of a sudden, she threw down her tools of destruction and walked over to the unicorn. Once she reached him, she held her hand to him and threw his head back. She Said, “Shhhh, I am not going to bring harm to you sir. I am setting you free.” She released the unicorn and he galloped away in the sunset. It has since been, many years since the sorceress released the unicorn and she has ridden herself of all of her wordly treasures. But, since the day the unicorn left, he has returned everyday thereafter to visit the sorceress and play about so she can still enjoy his beaty and magnificence.
