Locckhart, NSW, Australia. This small rural town is well known as the ‘Verandah Town’ due to the shops in the main street retaining turn of the century (20th) verandahs, classified by the National Trust. It was also the centre of bushranger activity during the 1860’s with Mad Dog Morgan using caves on nearby Galore Hill.
Each year, a festival includes the exhibition of ‘farm junk’ sculptures, many of which are located around the town from past years, this one was called the ‘rain dragon’ and was a winner in 2009.
