WHAT IS A COAT OF ARMS ?
A family crest or coat of arms has been a symbol of a family’s values since ancient times. Originally used to identify a warrior dressed in armor, each knight chose colors and symbols to distinguish themselves. These coats of arms have been passed down through generations.
An interesting trend is developing around the globe. As the world surges forward into the 21st century, and we find ourselves immersed in the constant advances of technology, people throughout the world are searching for a life with more meaning, and are trying to learn more about their past. Recognizing their family name through the purchase of an official Family Coat of Arms, Family Crest, Family Name History or other authentic Heraldry gift helps many people fulfill that need.
A Coat of Arms, sometimes referred to as a Family Crest, is a time-honored, graphical display of your family name history. Displaying an authentic Coat of Arms is a tradition that has stood the test of time dating back over 800 years. Displaying a Coat of Arms or Family Crest item will provide a greater sense of purpose for you and all of your family members, while strengthening family ties and unity. Displaying an official Coat of Arms, Family Crest, Heraldry, Surname, Genealogy, or Family History item serves as a constant reminder to the bearers of that name that they have a direct responsibility to uphold the honor and tradition of their family name.
