Artist's Description

Do you think I will have to wash my window after the storm? If you look past the bits of leaves on the window you can see how the trees are bending in the wind. Some of them couldn’t bend enough, 6 trees were blown over in the yard you see here

We had a class 2 inland hurricane here in Southeast Missouri on May 8, 2009 with 124 mile per hour winds. This image was taken during the storm.

This is what my office window looked like while the storm was shredding the leaves on the trees; this is actually taken during the height of the storm. You can see the wind bow the trees and what is one of my trees laying in the front yard. The storm blew over six full size mature oak trees just in the front yard. We lost hundreds of trees on our property. You could see the effects of the storm if it were not for the pieces of leaves plastered to the window.
