Artist's Description

This is actually muddy water spreading under ice on the lake.

This was something I have never seen before! It had been really cold and the lake had frozen completely over. Then it warmed up to over 60 degrees F and became very windy. The ice melted in one day. The movement of the ice in the wind caused the ice to bump into the shore and stirred up mud which then floated under the ice.

The wind was washing water over the top of the ice causing it to have a very shiny blue look, at the same time the wind was blowing the ice causing it to float into the bank and stirring up mud. The water flowing over the top of the ice was washing the muddy water under the ice. Strange, unusual and unique.
