Artist's Description

This unique old church dates from 1928 according to the date on the corner stone. According to the old timers in town it was originally build as a Methodist church and served as one until around the mid 1970s. Since then it has been the sanctuary for several different churches. The last denomination to use the building was the Assembly of God. There is a small marquee beside the building which states that the Assembly of God has moved to a new address. I have searched for information about the origins of the church and can not find any reference to it. To the best of my knowledge it is not in use at this time.

It is a very unique building with its native stone siding, tall outside corner stair way and rounded roof edges. Some think it has a Scandinavian look to the architecture. I took some literary license in removing telephone poles and electric lines.
