I am a very amateur photographer. In real life, I work for one of the emergency service sectors in London.

Photography is my escape from all of the stresses and challenging situations I experience during my day job and it is such a relief to go out alone with my camera on a day off or on holiday and walk around taking pictures.

My camera is my perfect companion, and even though I don’t really know how all of the fancy features work, in the end, I think we get along okay. I work mostly with the Nikon bridge cameras, a P80 to start, then a P510 and most recently with a P900.

I love animals, as you may have noticed, and am frequently more comfortable with them than people … they’re a bit easier to understand (I think a least) and there is a sense of purity in their existence; this is probably why animals make up the main body of my work along with insects and plants.

Nearly all of the Red Foxes I photograph are those that live in my garden. We have built up trusting relationship over the years, and they humour me by posing very nicely for photographs (I’m serious!). You will always find fox photos here.

Aside from the natural world, I love to travel when time and my means allow and capture the beauty that I see when abroad through photography.

Ultimately, the world is a beautiful place, and well worth saving; I feel honoured to be able to capture what I see and share it with you.
