This is my favorite apple tree on our property and watching the blossoms begin to open in a rhythm that I can’t explain is a springtime joy for me….. I ventured outside with my Canon and returned 20 minutes later with 78 new pics and a bee sting…… The beauty of this winter apple tree excites me every year….. looking from the trunk to the limbs to each tiny branch, I am charmed by its beauty!!!!! I don’t think there was a bee for every bloom but It seemed as though the whole army had been called in to experience the moment!!! The view of this tree will change over the summer and soon small apples will come and grow into larger ones and just when they turn a brilliant red and are so deliciously shiny……… the deer come and pluck them all off!!!!
It is a winter apple tree and we don’t mind sharing them….. the base of this tree has a ring around it where the deer, year after year, stand on their hind feet in order to reach the apples nearer to the top and on their “tippy toes”, they move around the tree in a circle.
I hope you enjoy the view….. my Oh Happy Day gift to you from me!!!!
