Nice old Lady

There was an elderly lady. She lived in a dilapidated shack.
It was so run down, full of holes and mice. The roof always leaked.
She was very poor with very little to call her own.
Around her shack were tall oak trees. She loved how every fall the leave turned beautiful colors.
She loved the red, oranges, and the yellows. She loved to collect them and press them in a book.
She saved some every year. As the years had passed her beautiful old eyes began to get weak.
She was getting so that she couldnt see those beautiful leaves.
The children that lived around her would come to visit.
With them they would bring something for snacks.
The elderly lady loved the visits. The children loved her she was so nice and sweet.
They felt sorry for her when she had nothing to eat.
Late that night she went to bed.
She had a dream something scary but there wasnt much to dred.
When she awoke she could hear something crying.
She went to her little squeaky door.
There laid a basket.
When she opened it she saw the little puppy.
There was a note on the basket that said this was a gift for everything she had done.
She didnt know what she had done. She took the puppy in and gave it some water. She sat there and thought of a name
for this cute little thing.
She named him Lucky. She found it a good idea.
They work both full of luck to have a chance to be together.
