This is a homage to the picture O by Erika Gouws that featured on the RedBubble’s homepage.
We are thinking of a little copper plaque to commemorate the event for all the tourists at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, on their way to Robben Island.

A saleswomen of the shop, on the right, came out on a previous occasion to warn me that I need permission from the manager to take pictures. I can think of gestures that someone not as gentle as myself might find appropriate but I think that I must just mention that this was taken without such authorization.
This is a handheld 3 exposure HDR image with tone mapping in Photomatix for maximum detail. With the camera set to AEB and sequential shooting the person just have to be still for less than a second. (In the enlargement, movement in his hands is visible) Colour correction and a slight increase of contrast in Bridge and CS4.
So, this is the background. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did in taking and making it.
