A Moment, After All

He ascends the walk, pay serenity no mind
Approaches the door, shadow dragging behind
Another sun gone, a daily race done
Yet another dreary night almost begun

Confronting the door, then pondering why
Are we here for a purpose? (a shrug and a sigh)
A waiting, beyond; a glowing on Her face
An old kiss made new, into the eyes the hearts race

In the eyes his eyes have been,
A shining is caught-he turns-and then
Singular beauty of the dusk revealing
His mind is hushed, his spirit healing

The evening star, first of night
Shines, beginning its own dark flight
But with a silent grace, it treads
And in one Moment, His heart amends

He casts around; the eve is still
The trees are dark, the air is chill
Yet a brightness grows, someplace within
A warmth, revealing a nodding grin

Upon the pallor of the days gone by,
Across the canvas of years that fly
He sees the color of all Time’s songs…
For in the Moment, our soul belongs.

Was supposed to be an entry for In The Moment, but was having technical problems up until the deadline. Oh well, doesn’t mean I can’t still share it right? Tell me what you think.
