Artist's Description

This is the monument to Charlotte Dymond, found murdered here at Roughtor Ford on the edge of Bodmin Moor in April, 1844 (nearest town Camelford). It is a lonely spot even today, especially when dark has nearly fallen. Taken after sunset on a November evening as the dense flocks of starlings were flying silently overhead. Pentax K10D, 1/160 sec, f approx. 11, ISO 320, 28 mm prime lens.
