Artist's Description

While touring the island of Grenada in the Caribbean, we came upon the “Snug Corner Postal Station.” I was taken by the size and worn condition of the little building, the young girl leaning casually against the open door, and even the empty Coke bottles in the case on the ground. It’s been a favorite memory since I took this picture in July 1990 on a cruise.

Taken with an Olympus OM 10 camera using traditional film. Cropped in Picasa.

Top Ten Winner in the “Old Buildings” challenge, in The World As We See It, or as we missed it, April 24, 2010
