Artist's Description

This was a small house behind the Emu Bottom Homestead in Sunbury built in 1836. George Evans (who built the place) named his homestead ‘Emu Bottom’ because he had settled in the low lying ground of the valley well frequented by large flocks of emus. (I still think it’s a weird name though. :p)
