An icon is like a window onto eternity; painting it is a spiritual journey. atelier sint Isaak van Nineveh is the studio of Dutch icon painter Max Slenter. Since 2013 I’ve painted icons in the Eastern Orthodox tradition—an art of line, colour, and light. The wooden panel is where craft and prayer meet: quiet, attentive, traditional. These designs share fragments of that work with anyone who loves icons.
