My name is Cheri and I have been creating art since the first time someone put a marker in my hand. Though sometimes my masterpieces were not well-received (ball point pen wall murals are not appreciated by landlords for some reason), I never doubted that part of my life should always be dedicated to art. When I learned at age 5 that there was an actual job called “illustrator”, I could think of very little else that would satisfy me for the rest of my life. As most dreams do, this one morphed throughout my childhood as I watched my mom run her own business (graphic and web design—thanks for a fabulous website, Mom!), and by the time I was in college, I had decided to establish my own art business. I hold a BA in Studio Art from Smith College and create art from my home in Southern New Hampshire while working at a library and at the local YMCA. When not at a library, teaching swim lessons, or making art, I can usually be found reading a fantasy novel on the couch with my cat and fiancé while waiting for a delicious gluten-free dessert to finish baking
