I am an artist who is currently residing in Port Macquarie, Australia. I retired from art teaching in 2005 and am now working full-time on my art and art interests. I am an art judge as well as occasional adult art teacher and art critic.
I mainly work in coloured pencil and feature aspects of the Tasmanian landscape, abstraction and Christian symbolism.
I was awarded Master Pencil Artist Status by the Canadian Pencil Art Society in 2014 and Master Status by the Coloured Pencil Community of Australasia in 2018.
I am an Ambassador for Caran d’Ache in Australia.

Art Award Finalist

One of my coloured pencil landscapes has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Bay of Fires Art Prize. This is the second time that I have been a finalist and I’m so pleased that a coloured pencil drawing has made it to the final of a prestigious art award that features a broad range of mediums.

Art Prize Win

My drawing “Tip-Toeing through the Tulips”, won the Drawing Prize at ArtEx 2015, held recently at Ulverstone in Tasmania.

Art Prize Finalist

Last Saturday night (June 6th), saw the opening of the prestigious ($20,000) Bay of Fires Art Prize, at St. Helens on Tasmania’s north east coast. / My coloured pencil drawing “Conara Landscape” was a finalist and the first to be sold.

Last Friday (August 1) I won the Holy Trinity Religious Art Prize in Launceston for the third time. My entry “Still in Denial” can be seen in my portfolio.
