My love’s across the ocean
Her face I cannot see
I sense her presence always
She’s making her way toward me

She stands beside the water
Casting pebbles in the sand
She looks at me and smiles
As she slowly takes my hand

And then I wake up fast
The dream won’t last
Through the sound of the alarm
And I’m late to work
I am such a jerk
Gotta catch that train today

Blue skies,
Blue skies and rainbows.
The boss man,
Blows which e’re way the wind blows.
The news man,
Says the planet’s in its death throws.
And my din-ner,
It’s burning only adds to my woes.

I crawl in bed to get some sleep
Hoping she’ll be at our place to meet
I picture her on the beach today
The sight of her melts my day away

She is here to take my hand
My spirit lifts, I’ll never land
And soon enough as our lips meet
I sense a kiss that will be so sweet.

And then I wake up fast
The dream won’t last
Through the sound of the alarm
And I’m late to work
I am such a jerk
Gotta catch that train today

Blue skies,
Blue skies and rainbows.
The boss man,
Blows which e’re way the wind blows.
The news man,
Says the plant’s in its death throws.
And my din-ner,
It’s burning only adds to my woes.
