Artist's Description

Just getting to Titus Canyon, in Death Valley National Park, California, is an adventure on bumpy, dusty, dirt roads that wind through a back country of rattle snakes and wild horses. After many miles, you come to this – the eastern entrance to Titus Canyon. The timing of entering this canyon must be precise. The weather report must be checked for miles around. The idea is not to be in the canyon when the flash flood hits. So you enter on a very hot and dry day, as we did. The views are spectacular, but they are all straight up. It makes for an enjoyable adventure that takes most of a day.
