Well…I’ve gone big time! After a careful and intense search for a location for my national museum, I found the perfect spot! ’Kind of figured my rural art would be best housed in a rural area. The building for this project is already there…has been there for years! Owning a pre-existing building saves artbybob on unneeded expenses for development.

Now, let me explain the floor-plan as presented to me by my search committee: The boarded up windows, on the left side of the building, are well suited for protecting my masterpieces from harmful UV rays.

The narrow opening on the front of the building, to the left, oh, say, half way up, provides ventilation for climate control, important for artwork longevity.

Question: What’s that big open area on the front side of the building? Well,…. that’s the highly secured shipping and receiving dock. From here I will begin to store…excuse me…house my works. It appears that this section of the building is already in place for operation. So, no additional expense is needed for an upgrade.

The other open area on the front of the building, just to the right, is the door. Through this door, fans and followers from all around the world have access to the artbybob National Museum!

artbybob National Museum is crowd friendly. No need to worry about long claustrophobic lines, because the surrounding fields provide plenty of elbow room. Just get in line, stretch, touch your toes, sit on the grass, even bring a picnic, if that’s your pleasure. And, what does one do during extreme waiting periods? Take in the sights! The scenic area surounding the artbybob National Museum is flat out gorgeous!

Queston: What about that small opening above the door, what’s that? The hole above the door provides continued ventilation for large crowds. This way, nobody passes out as folks make their way through the museum. ‘Safety first’ is our motto at artbybob National Museum!

Question: What about museum parking? How do we address the parking issue? After late nights with long discussions, we (my search committee and I) decided to follow the golden rule that states, When in Rome, do as the Romans do! That is, out in the country, we don’t need a paved parking lot like the big city museums have. We’ll untilize… the roadside! Whenever rural folks attend events like homecomings, dinners-on-the-ground, yard sales, family reunions, county fairs, and such, everybody parks on the side of the road; then, walks to the event.

Roadside parking provides something vital, too… perception! And here is the perception of roadside parking: The longer the length of parked cars, the bigger the event must be! Think of it….if Aunt Bessie walks one quarter mile, dragging her six kids, just to view a bunch of paintings and photos, then, man, that’s got to be SOME local event!

Painting and photography are my two passions! And, now, I’ve got a place larger than my studio to house my stuff…A MUSEUM!!!

I got to thinking…this museum thing sounds pretty good! Then……I woke up!!!

I dedicate this photo to dreamers of great accomplishments.

Photo shoot took place along Highway 58, south of Kingston, Tennessee and close to Ten Mile, Tennessee and edited in my program.

DISCLAIMER: The old schoolhouse/ converted barn is not mine. The artbybob name that you see on the building is superimposed by computer hightech stuff and is not painted on the real building.
