Artist's Description

I’m a 20 year old guy with ME/CFS who has been sick for over 6 years. I used to be a drummer, an athlete, and a good student who enjoyed school. I am currently mostly housebound, being both physically and mentally limited. I am not able to attend school or go to work even though I would absolutely love to be doing both. I rarely get to hang out with friends (a few times a year at most). It started with mononucleosis in 8th grade, which I never recovered from. I got worse and worse over time as I continued to ignore and push through it as much as I could because I just wanted to live a normal life. Doctors were not helpful at all, some being harmful and disrespectful. Even though I am quite lifeless at the moment, I do have hope (and excitement!) for my future. Photography was something I picked up at the beginning of becoming ill, which has been wonderful, but at the moment I am only rarely able to shoot any photos.
