So the Song Goes...

Savagely, sometimes a will is beaten
Not towards retreating
But aligned with miscreant feelings
Those have reached a ceiling…
Life’s not just
We’re between our perception
Its deception and our need to feel needed
There may be gaps between these needs and wants
Yet my heart feels left with ache from those wants
Haunts? She does and they do. Always true
Only if roses were red and violets were blue
Black and white, life’s not quite
More smoke and mirror than cut and clear
That’s this one’s saga
More life, more drama
More days left numb to sleep
Numb to relieve that inclination to need
Lusting and wants give to missings and don’ts
Daisy petal drops on she loves me not
Skin thickens with this
I feel I’ll meet that Miss and miss
Out of spite. Gunshy, remiss
When the petal left last
Is her love I’ll have passed
Practicing farewells before hellos
Like I know how the song goes

So the Song Goes...
