Dime cat

She forgets to ask often
if the layers have peeled for him
more concerned on self returns
reading of what to redeem
in the light of tomorrow

Tonight she’s the dime cat on prowl
She’s a swish tail without a flick of sorry
Make her purr
You have a way with felines
Don’t stick your tongue away
Her claws wanting none of your husky skin

She forgets to ask often
if the ache reminds him the hurt begins
more consumed with moisture for her lips
taking nourishment in his hips
looking for a tie of inseparable

Tonight her whiskers twitch
Rubbing her pheromones on his bark
electrical pounces hang in the air
She knows how to get her lion to roar
This she never forgets

Artist's Description

The saying ’ a dime a dozen ’ is generally accepted as meaning common and of little value.

This concept I present in this write abstractly with some sexual tension sprayed around for good measure :O)

I was thinking about how we can forget to ask if someone else is ok and in time it may pull at the common threads that unite us.
We may risk ending up rather common in more ways than one and perhaps we devalue our own potential to be more open to life… well a life other than our own..x
