Artist's Description

After painting a few darker themed paintings (you’ll have to visit my website to see what I mean), this one is definitely a drastic change! Pastels, bunnies, and flowers?! What is wrong with me?! lol! But I really wanted to paint something for the spring equinox…even though the equinox is still a little less than a month away, I am longing for warm afternoons and time spent in my garden…

Ostara is the spring equinox, a time when light and dark are equally balanced. From now until Midsummer, each day, the sun will be out just a little longer and the nights will be shorter. Ostara is also called Eostre, for the Saxon goddess of spring. This is a time for celebrating new life, renewal, balance, and transformation.

24×30 canvas, acrylic, original is not for sale
