We had spent the afternoon working our way through the St. Germain des Pres district in Paris, meandering from cafe to cafe, time having become an afterthought as the day passed us by.
We made our way to the Luxembourg Gardens, and found a bench away from the main paths. We talked for a while, holding hands and simply enjoying the feeling of being with each other, of being in love, and in Paris. Then she picked up her book and began to read, and I took out my camera and began to take in the surroundings.
To my right, I found a couple who seemed, just like us, to be lost to all but each other, and another couple just beyond. I felt like a bit of a thief, stealing this moment of theirs and making it my own, but I stole it nonetheless.
