TIRED BUT EXCITED

I was at a special environmental eco day today. I was performing with my puppets – the children love them – especially Buddy the mink and Roger the otter! I also taught mask making and worked with some kids to decorate a huge mural which someone commissioned me to make of the surrounding landscape and wildlife.

While I was there I came across a man with three birds of prey on display – two periguine falcons and I’m not sure what the other was. Luckily I had my camera on me complete with 300mm lens, so I took some cracking shots! Of course a lot were no good, bad light, the birds kept moving their heads, but there are a few which look good.

The birds are sometimes employed to catch seagulls which can be a problem in certain areas. Wow, the gulls are much bigger but these birds are natural killers!

Am having a bath now and a rest (v tired) but look out for my new pics in the next day or so…
