Artist's Description

This design was inspired by my time in Edinburgh studying landscape architecture at the Edinburgh College of Art, and my summer internship with Chora in London. Spring and summer were seasons near and dear to my heart, as the academic terms had ended and all the wonderful flowers had popped out in all the allotments, gardens, and meadows. It’s a sight to see after the cool, gray days had lifted and the city is bursting with color!

This also pays homage to memories of Easter and Tea time in the UK- as the cooler days are warmed by delightful cups of tea, literally rabbits scurrying about in the allotments near my flat in Edinburgh.

It’s a bit British, yes, but with my own little take on the collage. Looking closely, there is a very light polka dot texture, and the flowers are treated with an oil brush finish. This pattern is also designed to be seamless and season-less- a flexible design which can be applied to an array of products.

I hope you enjoy this little classic-inspired piece!

XOX,
Lesley Ann
