Searching for the Blue Moon
When the clock struck 12, the rain suddenly stopped and I went out looking for the blue moon. First from my patio and then the lamp lit Carlton street. It had been a hot balmy day in Melbourne, but the sky had cried tears so hard for hours in 2009 before midnight and then had stopped. Like a miracle. I walked out into the night compelled to find the blue moon and surveyed the sky. The balmy feel had changed to soft gentle breeze that kissed my legs and then my cheek and made me feel as if I was floating. I searched the sky for the blue moon with my heart filled with anticipation of the New Year. Hello 2010 the 1-1-10 had arrived and I wanted the Blue Moon to seal the beauty of this beginning. But the clouds protected the Blue Moon and I could not see her. I could feel her presence even though she did not reveal herself to me. Yes I could feel her and I felt so connected to her and I smiled. Overhead a bat flew and jolted me and out of dreaming and I scurried back to my unit, feeling that the blue moon had spoken to me and had acknowledged my search and revealed to me that 2010 would be a year of great mystery and enchantment. A year where dreams do come true…Welcome 2010.
