Artist's Description

This is a sideview of my previous upload. I have no idea what this bug is so if anyone can tell me I would greatly appreciate it. I thought it might be some kind of cricket or beetle.

Footnote: I have identified it, thanks to Carla Wick. It is in fact a female Acacia Longicorn Beetle. I looked it up and found it was common in summer in the Brisbane/Gold Coast area and eats gum leaves and Acacia leaves. The male is considerably smaller and a brown colour. Thank you very much Carla.

Taken in my back garden at Tamborine Mountain, Queensland, Australia.
Canon EOS 550D.
Sigma 150mm Macro lens.
