Artist's Description

Each day, the wildlife in our region and around the world may face their own olympic trials… to stay alive, to avoid a predator, to prove they are better than another in their herd or pack, to find food in a frozen or inhospitable land.

These bison bulls will be entering the rut soon, and are sparring before the big event. Greco-Roman wrestling move? Headlocks are certainly allowed in the wild. Canon 7D, f9, 1/250, focal length 285mm (so they’re close), RAW, Grand Teton National Park, near Moose, Wyoming, USA.
Feature in:
- INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE, August 2012
- ANIMALS Plus wild BIRD Photography, August 2012
- AMAZING Wildlife, August 2012
- Nature in its Entirety, July 2012
Thank you!
